The Optometry Services provides primary eye care health, which includes general eye care examinations, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system.

Examinations of the internal and external structures of the eyes are made to diagnose eye diseases (glaucoma, cataracts and retinal disorders), systemic diseases (hypertension and diabetes), and vision conditions (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.

Comprehensive examinations include testing the patients ability to focus and coordinate the eyes and to judge depth and see collors accurately. Prescriptions and fitting for eyeglasses, contact lenses and low vision aids are written.
